  • Tell us about Frank L. Blum Construction Company, its history as a company, and the main services offered
    • Frank L. Blum Construction Company began in 1923 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Providing General Contracting services, Blum has found success in diverse markets, spanning from healthcare to higher education, senior care facilities to corporate interiors, and everything in between. Over the past century, Blum has grown and expanded to five offices across the state—Asheville, Charlotte, Greensboro, Raleigh, and Winston-Salem.
  • What projects are you most excited about right now and why?
    • We are excited and energized about building all our projects across North Carolina and Virginia. Currently, Blum is constructing the Qubein Children’s Museum in downtown High Point, NC. This museum features exhibits and experiments that will empower and inspire local youth.
  • Any favorite previous projects that come to mind? If so, tell us about them.
    • In 2019, Blum completed construction on the Birth Center and The Dale and Karen Sisel Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Wake Forest Baptist Health. This 100,000 square-foot facility provides a full range of delivery options to parents-to-be. Blum has been a partner of Wake Forest Baptist Health for years and is very proud to continue that partnership through the Birth Center.

    • Frank L. Blum Construction Company is a full-service General Contractor delivering exceptional projects across the state of North Carolina.
  • How are you different from your competition?
    • In addition to providing General Contracting services, Frank L. Blum has a full-service Masonry Division that self-performs much of our brick and stonework.

    • Located in North Carolina, we expect a growing presence of construction needs in diverse markets in 2022.
  • What do you buy the most from NSCS? Any branch and NSCS associate you work with the most?
    • The items we most frequently purchase from NSCS include masonry accessories, mortar, grout, and rebar. We work most closely with Angie Puckett, a sales representative based out of the Greensboro branch.

    • NSCS is really a one-stop-shop for all things masonry.
